News

So, the end of the school year is coming up. Tomorrow is the last school day and then I have 4 regents examinations to complete. After that, I'll finally concider myself an upperclassmen! ^.^
With the end of the school year comes the annual carnival. Thank goodness that yesterday was much better than last year. NO RAIN, just a few sprinkles for less than 5 minutes. Taylor and I decided to make what we did the year before a tradition. Take a two hour bike ride on the canal, to the park, and back. This year there were no pants getting caught in our bikes, freezing from the downpour, or sticky sap on my ass(sat on a bench under a tree last year, never happening again). The only bad things were that my allergies were worst(thanks mom for your percription allergy pills) and Taylor hurt his leg. The bike ride itself wasn't tiring for me in the least and Taylor was in too much pain to care about whether or not he was tired. We went on a good amount of rides, had our share of horrible million calories food, and hanged out with a few of our friends. When we were hanging out with two of out friends, Kim and Melissa, we were looking at games to play(I won a toy earlier that day because I had clevage showing on accident and the guy was a perv I guess). Also, Kim and I were trying to look like lesbian lovers(I'm sorry Taylor!) with big boobs popping out of our shirts and gropping eachother. I saw that goldfish game, which Taylor and I stared at earlier feeling horrible for the fish in those tiny plastic bags, and decided to do something. Holy damn did I beast at that game. I bought 20-30 bucks worth of $5 35 ball games and saved, yes saved, 5 goldfish. I bought the largest sized tank, just over 3 3qt (correction, it's about 6qts) to put them all in and they were nice enough to throw in some crappy goldfish food for free. We went straight over to the tables and put them in the tank. I think the lady sitting across from us was a teacher from my school because I reconized her. She also knew what books I was refrencing when I told her I named them all after characters I read in english this year. The funniest thing is that I can tell the difference between the three gold ones with no problem XD They're named Portia, Bassanio, Jessica, Lorenzo, and Rebecca. Whoever can name what books they're from with the authors will win a whole journal feature.

Anywho, I got home and my dad, suprisingly, was very nice about it. He understands my love for animals, so he jumped right in. We went out and got a net, fish food, and an air pump(we already had an air filter and whatnot, just needed a new pump). Now they've already made the water messy and I need to change the water again in about five hours(there's a certain reason that I learned how to change the water properly for gold fish). I really did my research and hopefully they'll live longer than a week. I'm just glad that they're all getting along with eachother and seem to be happy. Yesterday they stayed at the bottom and this morning I found them swimming everywhere, playing with eachother. Oh, and a funny thing that Taylor said that I should do to people, so I did it to my mom. "So Mom, how was your day?" "Busy." "Well I just saved five lives, beat that." XD I wish I said "I just saved five lives today. What did you do?"

I'm also planning on saving a whole bunch of money, hopefully having people donate money, to try to save more goldfish next year. I want to be able to go on the first night and completely empty them of their goldfish on that night and release them into the wild, like the canal nearby. That way they can spend their last few days in open spaces, since their living conditions at carnivals are so horrible that they have probably gotten a lot of their lifespan taken off.

OH! Another thing that pissed me off is that they take a mouse and bet which hole he will go down! I'm going to protest next year.

Yes... Michelle is going to become a huge animal rights activist by the time of 18.

That reminds me, I'm going to get my permit soon! My 16th birthday was on the last day of May, yes, I didn't say anything about it. Nothing much to say about that. Oh, and my mom got a new computer for the house. We have a 20in monitor and a tiny computer, a dell hybrid, and it goes REALLY fast! It's amazing =]

So, what have you all been up to?

:heart: Michelle

Lol, on the goldfish thing.

I better not tell my friend Kyla about your guy's carnival, cause she's an animal rightist and vegetarian. She'd probably murder the guys there. XD; Although she saved some mice that a pet store were starving. She had some animal rightists do an investigation :D

Happy belated b-day!

XD Tell her! Have her come up here next year to protest with me! No murdering though, because that's defeating the purpose of the whole thing ^^;

Thank you! =D

Permit? You have to wait until you're 16? I got mine at 14. I've got my license now though.

I hate you =.= No, not really =]
Yeah. After I get it I have to wait 6 months and pass a test until I get my Junior License. When I turn 18, I'll get the normal license.
